Special Events

The Prairie Grove Police Department assists with community events through out the year.

Every year the police department has hosted the "Shop with a Cop" program. Assisted by the Prairie Grove School System, many children are able to pick out items of clothing and toys. The school has done a great job in helping find families that without the help and support of the community would have gone without a Christmas. Donations are accepted all year, if you would like to make a donation please contact the Police Department at (479)846-3270 or stop by the office at 955 E. Douglas St. You can always speak to the SRO, Corporal Tim Standifer at the school as well.

Clothesline Fair

During the Clothes Line Fair, the Police Department along with other outside agency is in charge of traffic control during the parade. After the parade the department has a patrolman stationed in the area of the park to handle any issues that arise.

Joe Martin Bike Race

Last year Prairie Grove hosted the Joe Martin Bike Race for the first time. The Police department was asked to assist in determine the best route for the event. This year the event is returning to the area. With a better understanding of the course and the amount of participants, the department hopes to make this year’s event one to remember.
